  • Valid Study Permit.
  • Social Insurance Number (SIN).

Studied as a full-time post-secondary student at a:

  • Canadian private school that is eligible to award degrees under provisional law in a study program authorized by the province.
  • Public or private secondary or post-secondary institute in Quebec that offers qualifying programs of 900 hours or longer.

Eligibility for Off-campus Job are as follows:

  • Studied as a full-time student at a DLI or Designated Learning Institution.
  • A Social Insurance Number (SIN).
  • The program must have started before you start working.
  • Studied in a post-secondary academic, vocational or professional training program or a secondary-level vocational training program in Quebec.
  • Program duration for at least 6 months which leads to a degree, diploma or certificate.

Rules and Regulations set by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

  • You can work for as many hours as you want on-campus along with off-campus based on the eligibility criteria.
  • You can work off campus for as many as 20 hours per week during school terms/ semesters.
  • However, during semester breaks, you can work full-time.
  • You can also work overtime or can take up two 2 part-time jobs.
  • You can work full-time if you are a full-time student before and after the semester break.
  • You are not permitted to work in the break before the beginning of the first semester.
